Staples Shopping Center -Aldi and Valero Gas
The construction at Aldi continues.  Back in September, Aldi received approval from the Planning Board to build a 1,309 square foot addition to the store.  While the store remains open, some food is no longer stocked - the freezers were empty when I visited.  Their Grand Reopening should take place in late August

The Valero gas station will soon be shutting down.  At a recent planning board meeting, the demolition of the gas station and replacement with a new Chase bank was approved.   I blogged about that here.

John Flack has a great collection of old photos from the 60s and 70s from the Staples Shopping Center, then called Marlton Square.

Burlington Coat Factory/Sprouts
I am truly baffled what they are doing inside Burlington Coat Factory.  Every time I go in there, there are new temporary and/or permanent walls being built.  New walls that I saw last time I visited are gone, though perhaps I am just confused.  They are shrinking the size of the store and the new space will be a Sprouts Farmers Market.  These photos are three different new walls - I think 2 are temporary and one is permanent (but not completed yet).

This is the permanent wall being built which will separate Burlington from Sprouts

Meetinghouse Square
The refacing of Meetinghouse Square continues, including the freestanding PNC Bank.  In addition, Millennium Florist has completed its move from Marlton Greene Shopping Center.

This was new to me but may have happened months ago.  Sun Bank at Target is now called Ocean First Bank.  The merger was completed in January 2018.
