Retail Update 9/22/2018 - Mystery Tenant, Wu's Bistro and Pictures from Around Town

Republic Bank
On 9/19, I took this picture, which shows the bank vault for the new Republic Bank being built next to CVS on Greentree Road.

The bank vault is in place at Republic Bank - 9/19/2018

Just two days later, it looks like this.  Progress is apparently moving quickly now.

Plaza 73 Shops
I didn't know what the name of this center was until this blog post.  I haven't been there since the Mexican restaurant in the shopping center closed down a few years ago.    The center, located just north of the old Marlton Circle, is the current home of Scrub Pro, Sushi Kingdom and Mods Up Vape and will soon have a new tenant.  The former home of Amechi Fence Showroom, which shut down in 2012, has been leased.  I don't have information yet on what will be moving in, but the leasing company just recently updated their site map.  Stay tuned.

Right most storefront has been leased.  Former Mexican restaurant on left still available

Lucky 7 Deli
I have not yet had a chance to follow up this, but the leasing agents for the shopping center have updated the sitemap for this center just this week.  The site plan shows the Lucky 7 space as available.  Lucky 7 is still open.

Scaturro's has been demolished.  The house had been in Evesham since 1841. I wrote a blog about it here.  Not sure who knocked it down, whether it was the developer (which might indicate that Royal Farms is on the way) or the town (who deemed it a hazardous threat, which it was).  However, the house next to Scaturro's was also demolished at the same time.  That property is also owned by the same developer, so perhaps that indicates the former?

This home on the corner of Route 73 and Sunbird Drive, next to the former Scaturro's, was also demolished this week

Meetinghouse Square refacing continues.  And Millennium Florist finally got their sign.  They moved from Marlton Greene to Meetinghouse Square over the summer, during the refacing.  Their new sign was installed this week.

Wu's Bistro in the Plaza 70 shopping center (Dollar Tree, Produce Junction) has changed ownership and is now called Grace Bistro.  You can find the coupons shown below here.  (This link to MoneyMailer.com works as of 9/22, not sure how long it will be live. )  It will reopen soon.

Renaissance Square
It has been difficult to determine exactly what I am photographing, but it appears these 3 fireproof stairwells and the beams are all part of the new H building.  Just past the beams, a wooden frame is being erected.

  • According to their Facebook page, Yoga Revive in Crispin Square received their required construction permits from Evesham and construction is expected to start shortly.
  • When I talked the Greater Philadelphia Area Director of Operations back in January, he was hoping for a 4th Quarter opening for Mission BBQ.  Unfortunately, that has been pushed back until mid 2019.
  • The Conoco on Route 70 West hasn't been open for a few days.  I don't know if the closure is permanent.
  • Halloween City is now open. A sign up behind the register notes they accept unopened returns up to 7 days prior to Halloween
