Marino's Kitchen at the The View at Marlton shopping center closed on February 8th, 2019. It was open about fourteen months, having opened on December 11, 2017. This is the second restaurant to close in that shopping center since it was opened in 2017, with Crisp Kitchen having closed a couple of months ago. I expressed concern at the time that there were four similar restaurants competing for the same dollar. The concept for Andale, Naf Naf Grill, Marino's Kitchen and Crisp Kitchen are all similar: pick your protein, pick your veggies, pick your sauces. Hopefully the other two businesses are having better luck.

A new nail salon is moving next to the new Pizza Hut called
Lavender Mani Pedi. They have subleased a portion of the space in the building. There are currently no walls up subdividing the space, so I suspect that is the first order of business.

Much like the old question 'What are they building in front of Francos?', the question of 'What are they building in front of Burlington Coat Factory?' keeps getting asked. Nothing is being built. Work is being done to realign the parking lot and improve drainage. An enormous hole was dug and new pipes were placed in it to keep standing water from flooding the parking lot. Work is expected to continue through April. And of course, Sprouts is going in next to Burlington, still shooting for a 2nd quarter opening.

Gymboree declared bankruptcy last month and announced all its stores would be closing. If you still have gift cards you are out of luck, as they are no longer accepting them. If you have been waiting for the 'Going Out of Business Sale' to begin, its time to head on over to the Promenade.
Concord Pet Food and Supplies has opened in the Galleria Shopping Center on Route 73 South. This is the last shopping center before you get to the Voorhees town line, adjacent to Outback Steakhouse.
