Evesham Retail Update 2/2/2019 - New Car Dealership, First Watch coming? Concord Pets, Bella Caffe updates
Concord Pet Supplies should be opening up in the next week or two. I unsure last week which of the vacant retail places in the Galleria that they would be taking. That has now been answered.
At first I thought it was going in the store in the lower right hand corner. When I went there last week, that store was filled with Hill Science Diet and Pee Pee Pads.
The store right behind it (marked 5266 sq ft) was papered up, so I couldn't see what was inside. But they have removed the paper, and it would appear that Concord is going there.
While there is no sign yet on the building, there is a new sign on the marquee.
The Burns Automotive Group is expanding. They currently sell Genesis vehicles out of their Hyundai dealership on Route 70. But they will be opening a Genesis Dealership on Route 73 where Lenihan was. It is odd that the dealership is currently called "Genesis of Cherry Hill", even though that stretch of Route 70 is Marlton. And moving to 73, still Marlton. Genesis is the luxury Hyundai brand.
Gymboree has filed for bankruptcy. Expect the Gymboree in Promenade to announce store closing sales soon. The company is still trying to save the Janie and Jack stores by selling it - the local one is in Marlton Square.
First Watch Restaurant opens next week in Cherry Hill. In the article in the Courier Post announcing it, it was mentioned that First Watch will be opening in Marlton as well. It is very early on in the process and I don't believe a property has been picked out. My guess is that they wait a bit and see how the Cherry Hill store does.
Bella Caffe at the former Cugini Deli location is now looking to open at the end of February. They have a 'Now Hiring' in the window.
It would appear that Allora's at Greentree Square are the people being the new Nene's Market being built on Main Street. They are hoping to open some time in March.
A meeting at the Zoning Board on Monday January 28th resulted in a Royal Farms being approved at the current Firstrust Bank location, next to the Marlton 8 theater. It was previously approved at the Planning Board. A second Royal Farms was previously approved at the old Scaturro's location next to Target.
Evesham Mortgage recently posted a video tour of their new offices at Renaissance Square. They expect to make the move from Plaza 70 some time in late February or early March.
There is a lot of construction going on in the parking lot in front of Salad Works and Burlington Coat Factory. There is a massive hole in the parking lot and large piles of dirt in front of the future Sprouts Farmers Market. There is currently a project to fix drainage issues in the parking lot, along with realigning the lot. Work on curbs and the little tree gardens in the lot is also being done, and what looks like a brick pedestrian crosswalk in front of Burlington.
After some unforeseen delays, Revive Yoga in Crispin Square has announced their Grand Opening on February 8th.
