Retail Update 9/11/2018 - Pizza Hut Coming (Back) to Marlton, Crisp Kitchen Closes and other retail updates

Pizza Hut is coming back to Marlton.  I had heard rumors of Pizza Hut possibly moving into the new Starbucks center being built on Route 70 (ironically, at the old Papa John's location).  I now have confirmation, as both manager and assistant manager positions were listed on the Pizza Hut website as of Monday September 10th.  This will be a Pizza Hut Express location, not a sit down restaurant.  This will be at least the 3rd time a Pizza Hut has opened in Marlton - previously there was one where Joe's Pizza currently stands, and another back in the 1980s near where the Barnes and Noble is.

Crisp Kitchen has closed.  Opened less than a year, it was located in a crowded strip mall with a lot of competition for fast casual meals, with Marino's Kitchen, Naf Naf Grill and Andale all within a few feet.  The sign on the door indicates they are looking for another location.  I have reached out to their corporate office but have received no response.

There was a small change in the plans for the two new restaurants at Renaissance Square.  From the May 2018 plans to the August 2018 plans, the Italian themed La Scala shrank from 7,125 square feet to 5,160 square feet, while the Mexican themed La Vez grew from 8,800 square feet to 9,463 square feet.
