It was been a relatively quiet month for retail in Evesham. So while there is nothing earth-shattering to report, I have a bunch of photos of some little changes that you may not have noticed.
According to NJ.com, we now know the opening date for Sprouts: June 5th. There will be a job fair in April for the 150 employees that will be needed for the store.
The giant hole in front of Sprouts has been filled in. I expected this will be repaved shortly and other parts of the parking lot will undergo similar work.
There were a few parcels of land on Route 73 near the Voorhees border that were included as part of a new proposed Wawa at the corner of Route 73 and Kresson Road. When that Wawa was shot down at the Voorhees Planning Board, those plots of land were put back on the market.
Mission BBQ has advised me that their grand opening is expected on July 1st. I have put together a time-lapse of their progress.
A new fitness studio will be opening up in Marlton Greene next to Dunkin Donuts. Adam Strong is a 1 on 1 personal training studio that has been in Burlington County since 2013, with a location in Mount Laurel. They are expected to open in Marlton some time in April. You can read more about them on their website.
Marlton will also be getting a location of Nailed it DIY Studio some time in Spring 2019. This store will provide a custom DIY workshop for men, women and children. They will be located in Crispin Square. (Thanks Lori Ann Mecham for this update.)
In national news, Gymboree has not yet announced when their stores will close. A 'Going Out of Business' sale continues at our location in the Promenade. The Janie and Jack brand has been purchased by Gap and the stores are expected to remain open as a result, including our location near Trader Joe's.
Mattress Warehouse has filed for bankruptcy. No word yet on whether that will affect local stores, including one in Marlton Greene Shopping Center.
